A conservative research group has written to Pam Bondi, President-elect Trump's Attorney General nominee, urging her to dismiss DOJ employees who they claim are "woke radical leftists and donors" who cannot be relied upon to execute Trump's agenda.

The American Accountability Foundation (AAF) wrote to Bondi, urging her to dismiss the employees of the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division, as they have been pushing transgender issues, working for George Soros-linked organizations, and donating to radical left-wing politicians and groups. The Voting Section is responsible for enforcing federal laws that safeguard the right to vote.

"The AAF President Thomas Jones and other signatories of the letter urge the Department of Justice to dismiss radical leftist donors who are deemed to have no place in the department. They believe that these individuals must be removed and replaced with attorneys who will prioritize the interests of the American people and execute on the agenda that was voted for in November."

Bondi, who wrote a letter opposing the "deep state" and its threat to democracy, also addressed it to Harmett Dhillon, Trump's nominee for Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights.

The DOJ has dismissed employees Janie Sitton, Catherine Meza, Daniel Freeman, John "Bert" Russ IV, and Dana Paikowsky, and is making a case against them for being unfit to work at the agency. Additionally, the AAF has pledged to provide more information on problematic staff in the future.

The group claims that Sitton is being targeted for her support of the transgender movement and contributions to leftist politicians.

In 2000, Sitton, while working for the DOJ, wrote an article advocating for a new legal system called "transgender jurisprudence" and argued that it was necessary to "reconsider" the fundamental "assumptions and frameworks that underpin our society and laws."

The AAF claims that Sitton opposed traditional practices, including identifying newborns as boys or girls based on their sex, asserting that society has been incorrect in assuming or assigning gender to infants.

The group claims that Paikowsky has spent years promoting far-left political agendas, such as allowing prisoners to vote, and has strong connections with organizations linked to Soros.

Paikowsky worked as a policy associate for the Open Society Foundations, an organization founded by a billionaire financier, in addition to donating to liberal politicians.

After graduating from Harvard Law School, Paikowsky worked as a fellow for the Equal Justice Works program at the Campaign Legal Center (CLC) while also interning for the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights. The CLC has received substantial funding from Soros in recent years, as reported by the AAF.

In a 2019 law review article for the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, the author proposed a comprehensive plan to transform "jails into polling places" and highlighted several instances of local elections in the US, including district attorney races, where a small number of inmate voters could have significantly influenced the election outcomes, as per the AAF.

The group criticizes Meza, an attorney at the voting division, for advocating for gun control while she was the chief counsel for the NAACP and allegedly accused people of not wearing masks or following social distancing guidelines as voter intimidation in 2020.

Russ was an attorney for the DOJ who filed a 2021 complaint against Georgia's election integrity initiatives, accusing the state of having racist intentions by prohibiting unsolicited absentee ballots from being mailed to voters, requiring voter identification, and prohibiting the potential bribing of voters with food and drinks at polling places.

The DOJ's Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division was contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital for comment, but no immediate response was received. Additionally, Planet Chronicle Digital inquired if the individuals named in the letter wished to respond.

The AAF has previously attempted to sway the composition of the federal government under Trump. Recently, the organization created a list of "woke" senior officers they hope Pete Hegseth will remove if confirmed as Pentagon leader.
