Obama's brother confirms allegations in Clooney's critical op-ed about Biden's mental health.
Jon Favreau observed similar behavior in Biden as he did in George Clooney, according to a CNN interview.
On Wednesday, a former adviser to President Obama spoke out about President Biden's mental fitness, breaking his silence just hours after an op-ed by actor George Clooney was published in The New York Times, urging the president to abandon his plans to run for president in 2024.
During a CNN appearance, Jon Favreau, a member of the "Obama bros," stated that it was not surprising to anyone at the fundraiser, including himself, that Clooney was exactly right, and every person he talked to thought the same way, except for those working for Joe Biden or those who didn't openly say it.
In his guest essay, Favreau criticized the Biden who appeared at the fundraiser, stating that he was not the same "big F-ing deal" Biden of 2010 and was not even the Joe Biden of 2020. Instead, he was the same man who was witnessed at the debate.
Clooney argued that Democratic Party leaders should cease attempting to convince Americans that they "didn't witness what we just witnessed," and accused them of disregarding "indications" regarding Biden.
Favreau stated to CNN, "My wife, Emily, turned to me after the fundraiser and inquired, 'What are we going to do?' I replied, 'There is a debate in a week. If he performs well in the debate, we'll assume he was just tired from traveling back from Europe, and that'll be that. However, if he behaves similarly at the debate, the whole country will be discussing it. So, here we are.'"
The day after joining his colleagues in criticizing Biden on "Pod Save America," Favreau made sharp remarks about the former vice president.
During a podcast, former Obama adviser Tommy Vietor stated that he found Biden's sit-down interview with George Stephanopoulos last week to be difficult to watch, and at times, he thought it was poor.
"Jon Lovett, a former adviser, stated that the debate was a disappointing event. "The explanations provided were unclear and did not address our concerns about what we witnessed that night," he said. "Is that right? Therefore, the explanations offered no resolution.""
According to a source, Biden's campaign is still going strong and he has stated that he will not be leaving the 2024 race.
