New Jersey lawmaker: Legislators on both sides of the political aisle are equally furious about how drone sightings are being handled.
Since the first drone sighting in New Jersey on November 18, there have been confirmed drone sightings every night, according to New Jersey State Assemblyman Paul Kanitra.
A New Jersey lawmaker expresses disbelief over the government's wording of its investigation into recent drone sightings across northeast America.
On Thursday, Assemblyman Paul Kanitra appeared on "Planet Chronicle @ Night" to discuss the bipartisan criticism of the government's handling of drone sightings.
"Our society is divided, but I remember when we were in 'The Rock,' our security building in New Jersey, and we had a hundred state legislators from different political backgrounds – upper house, lower house – everyone was equally furious about this situation," Kanitra stated.
On Nov. 18 in New Jersey, the first drone sighting occurred, leading the Federal Aviation Administration to issue two temporary flight restrictions.
Since the intelligence briefing for state legislators on Wednesday, there have been confirmed drone sightings every night.
During a Facebook post, Kanitra urged the Department of Homeland Security to act quickly and decisively against the drones, describing the situation as infuriating.
The White House announced that an investigation is underway, but no malicious or criminal intent, or national security threat has been discovered yet.
"Our government is wording this in a way that I find hard to believe, given that we've been dealing with foreign adversaries and drones for a month now and haven't done enough," he said on "Planet Chronicle @ Night."
On Thursday night, a picture of drones in the New Jersey sky was taken by Kanitra from a distance.
He stated that these are not hobbyist drones and the military should possess the necessary technology to obtain high-quality photos.
