Liz Cheney is labeled a 'low IQ war hawk' by Trump following her support for Harris.
Dick Cheney, former Vice President and father of Kamala Harris, was also targeted by Trump in his attacks.
Trump criticized Cheney after she endorsed Harris.
Trump labeled the former Wyoming Republican a "low IQ war hawk" following her defeat in 2022 and the controversial leadership of her father, Vice President Dick Cheney, during the U.S. invasion of the Middle East.
"Liz Cheney lost her Congressional seat by the largest margin in the history of Congress for a sitting Representative. The people of Wyoming are really smart!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He continued, "She is a low IQ War Hawk who, as a member of the J6 Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs, illegally destroyed and deleted all documents, information, and evidence."
After the January 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol, Cheney pledged to work tirelessly to prevent Trump from regaining the presidency.
On Thursday, the former representative campaigned for Harris in battleground Wisconsin, emphasizing the need for unity against their common enemy's campaign to return to the Oval Office.
In 1854, a one-room schoolhouse in Ripon was designated a national historic landmark because it hosted a series of meetings that resulted in the formation of the Republican Party.
"I have always been a Republican, but this year I am proudly voting for Vice President Kamala Harris," Cheney declared to the Wisconsin audience as she formally endorsed the Democrat presidential nominee. "As a conservative, a patriot, a mother, and someone who cherishes our Constitution, I am honored to join her in this critical mission."
Cheney, a Republican who has emphasized the importance of defending the nation's democratic process and putting country before party, was one of only two Republicans on a special select committee organized by House Democrats to investigate the Capitol riot.
Trump's social media comments grouped Liz Cheney and her ex-vice president father, who has also backed Harris, as "two idiots" who are "severely affected by Trump Derangement Syndrome."
Dick, her father, led our absurd expedition to the Middle East, resulting in the squandering of Trillions of Dollars, the deaths of millions of people, and ultimately, achieving nothing.
"Today, two individuals who were previously endorsed by the Republican Party, but are now no longer wanted, have endorsed the most liberal Senator in the U.S. Senate, even more left-wing than Pocahontas or Bernie Sanders - Kamala Harris. These individuals, both afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome, are a pitiful couple. Best of luck to them both."
On Thursday, Cheney stated that our republic faces an unprecedented threat: a former president who tried to maintain power by undermining the foundations of our republic.
In the election, prioritizing patriotism over partisanship is not a goal, but a responsibility, as she asserted that Trump cannot be trusted with power again.
According to Cheney, January 6 reveals that Donald Trump lacks compassion, being petty, vindictive, and cruel. Therefore, he is unfit to lead the nation.
