Liz Cheney criticizes Trump as 'depraved' and 'unstable,' stating that pro-life and pro-choice women are uniting behind Harris.
Both Cheney and Trump have been vocal in their criticism of each other.
During a "State of the Union" appearance on Sunday, former Rep. Liz Cheney, who supports Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024, criticized former President Donald Trump as "unstable," "depraved," and "cruel."
Cheney claimed that former Trump administration officials, such as John Kelly, who have been critical of Trump, are aware that Trump lacks a conscience and is characterized by erratic, chaotic, and cruel behavior.
The former congresswoman, who is pro-life, stated that since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, some states have enacted laws that hinder women from obtaining "life-saving care." She argued that physicians have been uncertain about whether the care a woman needs has been criminalized under state law.
Cheney stated that women rallying behind Harris are pro-life and pro-choice, ensuring they never face a situation where their own life is endangered or they cannot have children in the future.
On Sunday morning, she shared her similar thoughts on CBS News' "Face the Nation," stating that Trump lacks a conscience.
Cheney believes that Trump has brought "a new level of violence" to politics.
Cheney explained that she didn't abandon her pro-life beliefs when voting for Harris, but rather considered the reality of what has occurred since Roe v. Wade was overturned.
In 2021, Cheney was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump after the January 6th Capitol riot. However, she was later removed from her position as House Republican Conference Chair that year.
One of the House Republicans who served on the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 incident was her.
Trump and Cheney both criticize each other vociferously.
Cheney has been referred to as "a low IQ War Hawk" and a "crazed warhawk" by Trump, while he also labeled her as a "Muslim-hating warmonger."
