Johnson, the House Speaker of New Jersey, will receive a classified briefing today regarding drones.
Johnson expresses eagerness to learn more about enigmatic drone sightings.
On Thursday, House Speaker Mike Johnson will receive a "classified briefing" in Washington regarding the enigmatic drones sighted soaring over New Jersey.
The Louisiana Republican described the current situation as a "dilemma" when interviewed by Planet Chronicle Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram.
Johnson stated that he would attempt to obtain a classified briefing to determine what information is available, but the hearings have not produced significant results thus far.
Did Pergram ask if it was a specific briefing on that subject today?
So I'm anxious to find out," Johnson responded.
Gov. Phil Murphy of New Jersey has stated that his state government is exploring all possible explanations for the drones.
"I heavily depend on government experts for this job, and there's no evidence of anything being armed. However, there are theories, and we keep an open mind. Even if someone makes a wild claim with no evidence, we're still investigating everything."
A New Jersey state senator is urging the Department of Defense to probe the recent nighttime drone sightings as public frustration mounts over the lack of explanation.
"State Sen. Jon Bramnick, R-N.J., stated on "America Reports" Wednesday that the state police lack the expertise to handle the situation with the drones, but the Department of Defense has the technology to monitor them."
"The issue is that the Department of Defense is not present in New Jersey at the moment. I urge for its immediate arrival to shut down airspace completely to drones and declare a limited state of emergency until we determine the cause of the situation. However, without the Department of Defense, state officials will have no access to the necessary technology and information to address the issue."
