The first lady's icy reception for Vice President Kamala Harris during the Arlington Cemetery ceremony on Tuesday sparked a social media frenzy.
As the vice president greeted and shook hands with those around her, Harris and second gentleman Douglas Emhoff approached their row of seats from the first lady's right, except for Biden.
Conservative commentator Steve Cortes stated that Jill Biden likely dislikes Kamala Harris based on a video snippet of their non-interaction.
Through dark sunglasses, Biden appeared to look straight ahead as Harris took her seat.
"Kamala was ignored by Jill Biden, according to the widely followed 'End Wokeness' account," stated the report.
Andy Ngo, a journalist, posted a photo of the second family and first lady, noting that Biden appeared "stone-faced" and stating that some Harris supporters have attributed her loss in the election to President Biden.
Italian TV journalist Leonardo Panetta wrote on X in Italian that Harris was "ignored" by Biden after her defeat.
"Jill Biden did not get up to greet the vice president and remained seated with sunglasses on without acknowledging her presence," Panetta stated. "America's climate is good."
Right-wing commentator Benny Arthur Johnson remarked that they are not accepting the loss well.
"As she arrived at Arlington National Cemetery, Kamala shook hands with everyone before swiftly racing past Jill, who appeared to give her the cold shoulder."
Dave Rubin stated in a separate post that he had not witnessed two women dislike each other as intensely as Dorothy did when she stole all the men at the Rusty Anchor from Blanche in season 7 of 'The Golden Girls' since then.
"The person who sat them together dislikes them both," Rubin was told by one user.
David Harris Jr., a conservative author, speculated that there might be a division within the party after his defeat to Donald Trump.
On Veterans Day, the first and second families gathered at the Virginia cemetery to witness the president place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in honor of fallen soldiers.
When Harris arrived, the first lady appeared more stoic, while she greeted Emhoff "enthusiastically," according to the Daily Mail's recounting.
The first lady campaigned for Harris and shared their bond over the loss of family members to cancer and other shared experiences.
On Wednesday, the first lady will journey to her hometown of Philadelphia to address a gala hosted by the Philadelphia250 organization, which is planning to commemorate America's 250th anniversary next year.
A representative from the first lady's office, the White House, and Harris' office was contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital for comment.
