On Sunday, President Joe Biden declared a pardon for his son Hunter Biden.
During a holiday press conference with National Guard members and their families at the White House on Monday, First Lady Jill Biden supported President Joe Biden's decision to pardon Hunter Biden from criminal charges.
Jill responded to a reporter's shouted question by saying, "Of course I support the pardon of my son."
Hunter is the stepson of Jill Biden.
Jill Biden announced the theme of the White House's Christmas decorations, "A Season of Peace and Light," which were unveiled to the media ahead of the holiday season.

On Sunday night, the White House announced a pardon for Hunter Biden's two felony cases, which covers offenses against the U.S. that he may have committed from January 1, 2014 to December 1, 2024.
""I issued a pardon for my son Hunter today, despite my pledge not to interfere with the Justice Department's decision-making and my observation of his unfair prosecution," Biden stated."
The president asserted that his son was treated unfairly by prosecutors.
Biden's decision to pardon his son differs from his earlier statement to the media that he would not grant a pardon to his first son.
President Biden stated to ABC News that he would not pardon Hunter before his conviction in the gun case.
After a jury of his peers found him guilty of three felony firearm offenses, the president reiterated that he would not pardon his son.
