In Iowa, a poll shows a 3-point shift in favor of Vice President Biden over President Trump.
A new poll from Emerson College shows Trump leading in Iowa by 10 points.
In the final Des Moines Register-sponsored poll of Iowa three days before the election, Vice President Kamala Harris leads former President Donald Trump by three points.
A seven-point shift occurred in the poll from September, showing Biden leading Trump by four points (47% to 43%).
"Pollster J. Ann Selzer, president of Selzer & Co., who conducted the poll, stated in a newspaper interview on Saturday that it was difficult for anyone to predict the outcome of the election. However, she noted that the candidate had clearly gained a significant lead in the polls."
The poll was conducted between Oct. 28-31, and Harris' lead is within a 3.4% margin of error.
Despite appearing to be an outlier, a poll from Emerson College released Saturday showed Trump with a 10-point lead (53% to 43%).
The Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll, a nationally recognized survey measuring support in Iowa, mirrored the state's election results in 2016 and 2020, according to the Des Moines Register.
In 2016, Trump had a seven-point advantage over Clinton, while in 2020, he maintained the same lead over President Biden.
Iowa, despite not being classified as a swing state, is situated close to the Rust Belt swing states of Pennsylvania and Michigan, and it borders Wisconsin.
In June, Trump had an 18-point advantage over Biden, but he withdrew from the race after a poor debate performance in July.
The Nov. 2 poll indicates that Harris is gaining more support among women in a race with a significant gender gap, as she has prioritized the issue of abortion in her campaign, according to the newspaper.
In the poll, 9% of the respondents said they would vote for another candidate, were unsure about their choice or didn't plan to vote. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who ran as an independent candidate and later endorsed Trump, received 3% of the vote.
