'Immigration Mandate': Former House Candidate Reveals Trump's Plan to Overcome Democratic Resistance
According to Orlando Sonza, Trump's deportation plan will be more financially efficient than taxpayers funding housing for illegal immigrants.
Former House candidate Orlando Sonza advised President-elect Trump to use leadership, relationship building, and adherence to the rule of law to fulfill his immigration agenda, as he was given a mandate by the American people.
According to Sonza, an attorney and former Republican candidate in Ohio's 1st Congressional District, the American people have delivered a mandate to the next president of the United States, specifically to President Trump, to fix the illegal immigration problem immediately.
One of the biggest challenges Trump will face in fulfilling his immigration mandate is the persistent defiance of the law by public officials in liberal areas.
"President Trump's clear leadership is evident in his decision not to tolerate sanctuary cities and jurisdictions that harbor illegal immigrants, many of whom are criminals who have broken our laws, both on the southern border and within our borders. Holding these cities and jurisdictions accountable is crucial for ensuring our national security and safety in our communities. This is a matter of leadership, and President Trump is taking the necessary steps to restore our country to a land of laws."
Democrats across the country have declared their intention to challenge Trump's plan to enforce immigration laws and deport criminals by implementing sanctuary policies or attempting to "Trump-proof" their jurisdictions. According to Sonza, deportation is not only an effective tool but also a necessary one.
"Ultimately, it boils down to rectifying the wrongdoing we've witnessed in the past four years and returning to the proper way of handling immigration, which is through the legal system when it comes to deportation," Sonza stated. "President Trump has made it clear that there are priorities in terms of prosecuting and removing dangerous individuals, such as human traffickers, drug cartels, and violent gangs like MS 13. These individuals do not belong in our country and have attempted to exploit the immigration loopholes they found on the southern border, smuggling people, drugs, and weapons, causing immense harm to our communities. Above all else, they must be deported."
President Trump's plan aims to protect the integrity of lawful immigration by addressing violent criminals, criminals who have broken laws within our community, overstays, and fraudulent documentation. This will ensure fairness for those who follow the rules, as many of those who have reentered the United States illegally after deportation have criminal records and pose ongoing threats to public safety. Visa overstays account for nearly 40% of illegal immigration, and addressing this issue is a key component of President Trump's plan.
Sonza stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that Trump can surmount those who disregard federal immigration law by withholding federal funds to sanctuary cities and by "encouraging accountability and close collaboration with law enforcement."
"President Trump's plan to strengthen cooperation between federal and local law enforcement is crucial for ensuring community safety while upholding the rule of law, he stated. He believes that this plan, which is supported by many, will lead to smoother cooperation and address the issues of illegal immigration in the country."
Trump's critics have raised concerns about the cost of mass deportations, which West Point graduate and former U.S. Army officer Sonza initially agreed with until he did further research.
"Conservative estimates indicate that the long-term burden of keeping illegal immigrants in the United States costs taxpayers an exorbitant amount of money, with an estimated $151 billion annually."
According to Sonza, the son of legal immigrants, the "overwhelming number of Americans" who voted for Trump share his belief that "illegal immigration poses one of the most pressing challenges to our country today."
Sonza stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that voters overwhelmingly supported "returning to law and order" by electing Trump, and he is confident that Trump's leadership, coupled with a strict enforcement of his deportation plan, will produce the desired results.
"Sonza stated on Planet Chronicle Digital that the illegal immigration process has put Americans in a less safe position, undermined national security, and contributed to the opioid epidemic in southwest Ohio."
He stated that we desire to return to a nation that prioritizes the safety of its citizens and upholds the rule of law, regardless of whether individuals are attempting to enter the United States or are already citizens. He emphasized that the best interests of all people, including those seeking to immigrate or those already residing in the country, should be considered in the immigration process.
