If Democrats win the 2024 elections, they will have uncontested rule in America for a century, according to Sen. Mike Lee.
The senator proposed that the Republicans replace their party symbol with Peanut the squirrel.
If Democrats win the 2024 elections, they will hold power for a century, according to Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah.
If Democrats win both chambers of Congress and the White House, they will remove the filibuster in the Senate, appoint more justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, grant statehood to Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, and take control of elections, redistricting, and campaigns.
"On Day 1, Lee wrote on X: 'Nuke the filibuster.' On Day 2, he proposed to pack SCOTUS. On Day 3, he suggested making DC & PR states. On Day 4, he advocated for a federal takeover of elections/redistricting/campaigns. For the next 36,500 days, Lee's rule would be uncontested, lasting 100 years."
Since 2011, Lee has been a senator and in January 2020, he endorsed former President Donald Trump before the Iowa GOP presidential caucus, which Trump won.
The senator has been frequently responding to Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.
The President of the United States must always champion freedom in the global battle against tyranny and democracy, as Harris tweeted.
"Indeed," Lee replied. "This is why many of us are supporting Trump."
Harris' criticism of Trump as "weak" prompted a sharp retort from Lee.
""Your policies are ineffective and contribute to the impoverishment and restriction of Americans' freedom," Lee retorted."
In the midst of discussions on social media about the death of Peanut, a pet squirrel that was seized and euthanized in New York, Lee proposed replacing the GOP's elephant mascot with a Peanut the squirrel mascot.
""While elephants are cool, they don't reside in America. Instead, squirrels do! Let's honor Peanut the Squirrel by making him the official mascot of the GOP," Lee proposed."
