House intel chair Turner suggests that the US must consider military action against North Korean forces if they invade Ukraine.

If North Korean troops invade Ukraine, America must "seriously consider" taking military action against them, according to Rep. Mike Turner, chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

The Ohio Republican stated that if North Korean troops invade Ukraine's sovereign territory, the United States must consider taking direct military action against the North Korean troops.

Evidence indicates that North Korean troops are in Russia, according to Defense Sec. Lloyd Austin.

According to John Kirby, the White House national security communications adviser, between early to mid-October, North Korea deployed at least 3,000 soldiers to eastern Russia. These soldiers traveled by ship from the Wonsan area in North Korea to Vladivostok, Russia.

The soldiers continued on to various Russian military training facilities in eastern Russia, where they are currently receiving training.

Kirby stated that the U.S. lacks certainty about whether North Korean troops will join forces with Russians, but characterized this possibility as "a highly concerning probability."

Ukraine has received billions of dollars in assistance from the U.S. as it battles Russia in war.

If North Korean forces attack Ukraine from within Russian territory, America should permit Ukraine to use U.S. weapons in response, according to Turner's suggestion.

The lawmaker has long opposed the Biden-Harris Administration's stance on limiting Ukraine's use of U.S. weapons against targets within Russian territory. In the event that North Korean troops attack Ukraine from Russian territory, the lawmaker believes that Ukraine should be allowed to use American weapons in response.

Democratic Rep. Mike Quigley of Illinois tweeted that the war in Ukraine is not unimportant, as evidenced by Putin's partnership with North Korea. The presence of North Korean troops in Russia indicates that Putin is not interested in ending the conflict and is determined to escalate it at any cost.
