On Thursday, during the confirmation hearing of Interior Secretary nominee Doug Burgum, Democrat Senator Mazie Hirono of Hawaii was subjected to ridicule on social media due to her initial inquiries.

"Hirono posed two initial questions to Burgum on Thursday, inquiring about any unwanted sexual requests or harassment or assault committed since becoming a legal adult."

"No, senator, I have not," Burgum responded.

Did you ever receive discipline or reach a settlement for this behavior? Hirono inquired.

"I have not," Burgum said.

Several other nominees, including Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth and Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi, have also been subjected to similar opening questions by Hirono.

Chad Prather, a conservative commentator, posted on X that this lady has issues.

"What is wrong with Dems?" American Majority president Ned Ryun posted on X. "They are apparently bat guano crazy sex pervs. Is this all they think about?"

"What does Tiana Lowe Doescher's column suggest about Hirono's seats on Judiciary, Armed Services, and Energy?"

X conservative comedian Tim Young stated that the more Mazie Hirono questions cabinet nominees about sexual assault, the more he believes she is guilty of it herself.

Hirono was labeled "deranged" by Henry Rogers, The Daily Caller's chief national correspondent.

Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from Hirono's office when requested a comment.
