Norah O'Donnell, the anchor and managing editor of CBS Evening News, confronted Harris about Trump's assertion that he is "a very low-IQ person" and should undergo a cognitive test.
"Would you take a cognitive test?" O'Donnell asked.
"Harris replied, "I would challenge him to take the same one.""
She claimed that Trump "is increasingly unstable and unhinged."
In a lengthy interview on Joe Rogan's podcast, Trump proposed that all presidential candidates should undergo testing.
"I believe Kamala should undergo cognitive tests due to concerns about her mental abilities."
Trump posted on Truth Social earlier this month, stating that he believes it is crucial for Kamala Harris to undergo a cognitive stamina and agility test. He added that her actions have raised concerns about her mental health.
Throughout President Biden's time in office, Democrats have been criticized by Republicans over the border crisis. Recently, the National Border Patrol Council, a union, endorsed Trump.
But Harris is suggesting that as president, she would tackle the problem.
As attorney general of a border state, I witnessed the turmoil and brutality inflicted by transnational criminal organizations. As president, we will swiftly expel those who enter illegally, prosecute the cartels, and provide Border Patrol with the necessary resources.
While we recognize our country's history as a nation of immigrants, I pledge to collaborate with Congress to enact immigration reform, which includes granting citizenship to deserving immigrants, such as farmworkers and dreamers.
