Giorgia Meloni, the Italian Prime Minister, visits Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
Trump stated that Meloni had swept Europe by storm, and everyone else, and they were simply having dinner tonight.
Giorgia Meloni, the Italian Prime Minister, was seen with President-elect Trump at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida on Saturday.
A documentary about the challenges faced by conservative lawyers in the legal system was screened, and Trump was present.
He entered the grand ballroom at 7 p.m. and left about two hours later, having eaten dinner.
"This is very exciting," Trump told the crowd of Meloni.
"I'm here with a remarkable woman, the prime minister of Italy, who has swept Europe off its feet and we're simply enjoying a dinner together tonight."
The documentary screening was attended by several notable individuals, including the president's pick for Secretary of State, Sen. Marco Rubio, his choice for national security adviser, Rep. Mike Waltz, and his selection for Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent.
After other world leaders met with Trump in Florida, Meloni visited his resort.
Javier Milei, the President of Argentina, was the first world leader to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago after his election victory in November. This was followed by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who also traveled to the Sunshine State to meet with Trump.
Biden will journey to Rome to meet with Meloni and Pope Francis, with the White House stating that the meeting with Meloni will emphasize the robustness of the U.S.-Italy bond and will involve the president expressing gratitude to the prime minister for her outstanding leadership of the G7 during the past year.
