On Wednesday, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated that the European Union will not permit President-elect Trump to seize Greenland through military means.

According to Politico, Barrot stated on French radio that it is impossible for the European Union to allow other countries to attack its sovereign borders, regardless of who they are.

Trump's invasion of Greenland is unlikely, according to Barrot.

Barrot stated that he does not believe the United States will invade Greenland, but if we are in a survival of the fittest era, then his answer is yes.

Trump's interest in purchasing Greenland from Denmark has led to a stark warning.

During a press conference, the incoming U.S. president refused to rule out using military force to gain control of Greenland or the Panama Canal when asked about the issue on Tuesday.

Trump was questioned by a reporter about whether he could guarantee that he would not employ military or economic pressure to seize control of the Panama Canal and Greenland.

Trump stated, "I cannot guarantee either of those two, but I can say that we require them for economic stability."

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen emphasized Tuesday that Greenland is not for sale.

According to The Hill, Frederiksen stated on a Danish TV station that Egede, the Greenlandic Prime Minister, has made it clear that the people of Greenland strongly support the idea that Greenland will not be sold and will remain independent in the future.

According to TV 2, she stated that Greenland will decide its own fate and emphasized the importance of staying calm and adhering to principles while commending the U.S. as a vital Danish ally.

On Monday, Trump posted on Truth Social that he had heard that the people of Greenland were "MAGA." He also shared a video that supposedly showed a Greenlander requesting the US to buy his country.

On Tuesday, the president-elect's son arrived in Nuuk, the capital of the Arctic territory. He met with locals, explored cultural sites, and recorded video for a podcast. The president-elect posted a video on social media showing a plane with the word "TRUMP" landing in Nuuk.

"Greenland is in need of safety, security, strength, and peace, and my Reps and Don Jr. have landed there. This deal must happen for the Free World, and together we can make Greenland great again. MAGA!"

At a press conference on Tuesday, Trump stated that Greenland should be given up by Denmark.
