Ex-Pentagon official claims government is concealing 'the truth that we are not alone' in UFO hearing.
Testimonies were given regarding the existence of a clandestine government organization known as 'Immaculate Constellation.'
A former Pentagon official claimed to Congress that the U.S. government possesses evidence of extraterrestrial life, but that a group of officials are concealing the information.
Luiz Elizondo, the former head of the Defense Department's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), testified before the House Oversight Committee about his investigation of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).
"Grave misdeeds have been committed against loyal civil servants, military personnel, and the public due to excessive secrecy, which was used to conceal the fact that we are not alone in the cosmos," Elizondo stated, later referring to the group as a "cabal."
"Our government has a small group that has created a culture of suppression and intimidation around the UAP topic, which I and my former colleagues have experienced personally," he stated.
Congress should enact legislation to safeguard whistleblowers who are hesitant to reveal information about government activities due to fear of retaliation.
He stated that as Americans, we can handle the truth, and the world deserves to hear it.
Lawmakers are investigating UAPs and examining whether the government is withholding evidence from Congress illegally.
The Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is one of the crucial programs dealing with the issue.
The mission of AARO is to coordinate efforts across the DoD and other U.S. federal departments and agencies to detect, identify, and attribute objects of interest in or around military facilities or airspace, which could pose a threat to the safety of operations or national security, including anomalous, unidentified space, airborne, submerged, and trans-medium objects.
The Pentagon states that the program has not discovered any proof that UAPs come from beyond Earth.
During a military exercise, the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier encountered UAPs, which was recounted by Dr. Tim Gallaudet, a retired U.S. Navy rear admiral, at Wednesday's hearing.
Gallaudet stated that during the exercise, he received an email on the Navy's secure network from the operations officer of Fleet Forces Command. The email was addressed to all subordinate commanders and had the subject line in all capital letters: URGENT SAFETY OF FLIGHT ISSUE. The text of the email was brief but alarming, with words to the effect: 'If any of you know what these are, tell me ASAP. We are having multiple near-midair collisions, and if we do not resolve it soon, we will have to shut down the exercise.'
The "Go Fast" video, recorded on a Navy F/A-18 aircraft's forward-looking infrared sensor during an exercise, was attached to the email.
The email vanished from my account and those of the other recipients the very next day without any explanation. Additionally, the Commander of Fleet Forces and his operations officer never brought up the incident again.
An unnamed journalist claims that according to sources within the Pentagon, there is a secret program called "Immaculate Constellation" within the Unacknowledged Special Access Program (USAP).
The military has gathered information on UAPs and consolidated it in a program, according to him.
"Shellenberger stated that discussing the name 'Immaculate Constellation' could lead to government surveillance under FISA, as a source had warned him. 'They won't comment on it, but talking about it will put you in the danger zone,' he was told. 'They enforce secrecy with a lot of vigor.'"
