On Sunday, Elon Musk announced plans to enhance his security following a German magazine's classification of him as an "enemy of the people."

On Sunday, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Musk hosted a town hall meeting to back Trump's presidential campaign. During his speech, Musk discussed the growing political tension as the country prepared for the November election.

He was recently featured on the cover of Der Spiegel, where he was labeled "Public Enemy No. 2" - with Trump being the first.

"I'm like, enemy number 2 of what? Uh, democracy? I mean I'm pro-democracy. I'm literally trying to uphold the Constitution and ensure we have a free and fair election," Musk said, earning applause from the crowd.

"I'm definitely upgrading my security. It seems like I should cancel that open-car parade," Musk said, referencing the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The CEO of SpaceX expressed being slightly shaken by the intensity of the hatred on the left.

"Musk stated that while they claim to be tolerant, they are incredibly intolerant and spew hate. On the right, people tend to view those on the left as misguided but do not hate them. However, the amount of hate coming from the left is next level, Musk said."

Two assassination attempts were made against former President Trump, one during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July, and another while he was playing golf at his club in West Palm Beach, Florida, around two months later.

Over the summer, Trump received Musk's official endorsement after surviving an assassination attempt, and now Musk is campaigning for Trump in Pennsylvania.
