The Georgia Republicans and the former President Trump's campaign are still pursuing legal action against "coordinated efforts" by Democrat-majority counties to accept ballots after the early voting period ended.

The Georgia Republican Party, as reported by FOX Business on Sunday, revealed its latest efforts to prevent counties from tallying ballots that were delivered manually over the weekend.

The lawsuit involves seven counties, including Fulton County, which is home to Atlanta, the state capital.

In the letter, Chairman Josh McKoon stated that these counties were "illegally accepting ballots this weekend BEFORE the end of early voting on Friday."

The Georgia Republican Party, in collaboration with the RNC, has filed a lawsuit in federal court to halt the counting of ballots that were submitted without proper oversight by election observers. Furthermore, we have requested the involvement of Georgia's Secretary of State and Attorney General to resolve this matter and provide answers to the questions we all have.

McKoon stated that the Republican Party aims to discover how a 501c3 organization learned to notify voters of the extension of weekend hours in six Democrat counties within 15 minutes of early voting closure.

"What was the reason behind the failure of these six counties to inform the state board of elections, their county board of elections, the Secretary of State, and their local governments about their plans to extend early voting? Additionally, who issued the order to Fulton and Chatham County officials to prevent poll observers from observing the voting process, and what was their motive for doing so?"

Georgia Republicans should "keep their foot on the gas," concluded McKoon during the update.

"The Republican stated that they will keep the public informed throughout the process, but their mission remains the same. They must continue to accelerate their efforts and mobilize voters on Tuesday as if their lives depend on it."

On Sunday, the Trump campaign acknowledged their role as a plaintiff in the lawsuit.

"The campaign filed a state court lawsuit after several heavily Democrat counties announced they would open their offices over the weekend to receive mail ballots, which is illegal. The counties later withdrew their plans to keep drop boxes open over the weekend, but the campaign continues to fight the illegal re-opening of the centers in state and federal court."

"The campaign's statement stated that the violation of the law was clear and partisan, aimed at boosting Democrat efforts in Georgia. It is crucial for officials to adhere to the law and conduct the election fairly and transparently with only two days left until the most significant election in the country."

A judge in Fulton County dismissed a lawsuit on Saturday that sought to allow voters to hand in their ballots over the weekend at normally-closed offices.

GOP attorney Alex Kaufman's argument that absentee ballots should not be hand-delivered and accepted after the early voting period ends was rejected by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kevin Farmer.

The judge stated that it is not a violation of the two code sections for a voter to hand-return their absentee ballots.
