During a speech at the New York Young Republican Club gala, Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz collapses on stage.
After fainting, Alex Bruesewitz allegedly inquired, "At least I looked cool, right?"
During a New York Young Republican Club gala on Sunday night, Alex Bruesewitz, an adviser to President-elect Trump's campaign, collapsed while speaking onstage.
A video on social media shows Bruesewitz, 27, fainting while introducing incoming White House senior aide Dan Scavino inside a venue in Manhattan.
After collapsing, several people rushed to aid him, but it was not immediately clear what caused him to faint.
Raheem Kassam, a former aide of Nigel Farage and the master of ceremonies, informed the audience that Bruesewitz was doing well backstage and had even asked if he looked cool while fainting.
"Kassam shared with me that he spoke with our friend Alex Bruesewitz, and you know what he said? He asked, "Did I at least look cool?" I replied, "Alex, you used gravity in a way that no one has ever used it before." However, Alex is currently recovering, so let's give him a big cheer so he can hear us."
According to the New York Post, Trump stated that he believes Bruesewitz will recover after the collapse.
"I am confident that Alex will be okay because he is a resilient individual," Trump stated. "There is no question about that. Therefore, I would like to greet Alex, as he is a remarkable person."
X Strategies LLC, led by CEO Bruesewitz, aims to support "America First" candidates and is known for its staunch backing of President Donald Trump and his agenda.
The website states that Bruesewitz has been instrumental in the efforts to defeat Republicans who oppose Trump and the MAGA movement and advocates for replacing them with Republicans who share our values.
Bruewitz, before collapsing, seemed fine while praising the New York Republican Club for supporting Trump's campaign. He also recognized several attendees who supported the incoming president, including former Florida congressman Matt Gaetz, who recently resigned from his U.S. House seat.
Corey Lewandowski and Steve Bannon were among the notable speakers at the event.
