Donald Trump Jr lands in Greenland amidst his father's statement that Denmark should surrender.

On Tuesday, President-elect Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., arrived in Greenland, fueling speculation that the U.S. might consider acquiring the Danish territory.
In Nuuk, the capital of the Arctic territory, Trump Jr. met with locals, toured cultural sites, and recorded a podcast video. The president-elect shared a video on social media of a plane marked "TRUMP" arriving in Nuuk.
"Greenland is in need of safety, security, strength, and peace, and my Reps and Don Jr. have landed there. This deal must happen for the Free World, and together we can make Greenland great again. MAGA!"
Trump also spoke with locals over speakerphone in video that supporters shared online.
On Monday, a source informed Planet Chronicle Digital that Trump Jr. planned a brief visit to shoot video content for his podcast. He would not be engaging with any government officials or political figures during his trip.
The trip is undertaken as President-elect Trump aims to acquire the mineral-rich and strategically significant land.
On Tuesday afternoon at a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate, the president-elect reiterated his demand for Denmark to relinquish something.
"We need Greenland for national security purposes," Trump said.
American interest in Greenland dates back to the 1800s.
Last week, Greenland Prime Minister Mute Egede stated that the country is not interested.
"We must not lose our long struggle for freedom," he said. "Greenland is ours, and we are not for sale."
