DOJ: Multiple photos of cocaine, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia were found on Hunter Biden's phone.
Allegedly, the president's son had illicit images on his iPhone.
According to reports, Hunter Biden's iPhone contained images and videos of what appeared to be cocaine, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
In November and December 2018, the president's son allegedly took "multiple photographs" of his drug use, as stated by the Department of Justice.
On Tuesday, a filing was made public that contained images and messages from Hunter's phone showing his interactions with his drug dealer.
"The defendant took photos of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia on his phone before October 12, 2018, the date of his gun purchase, and he also routinely sent messages about purchasing drugs prior to the gun purchase."
The correspondents reveal that Hunter requested "baby powder" and "the really soft stuff."
It was disclosed in the filing that Hunter Biden discussed his drug use with his ex-girlfriend, Hallie Biden.
""Hallie said that you have lost your mind, and I'm sorry for my poor handling of the situation. You are in denial about yourself and your reality, and I just want you to be safe. You act like a child and blame me for your mistakes," she said. "It's expected that you will leave, as you have consistently shown that you cannot stay and work on yourself. It's easier for you to avoid looking within and constantly blame me," she added."
Federal charges have been filed against Hunter for lying about his drug use on a form.
In court, the DOJ presented images to demonstrate that Hunter was allegedly addicted to drugs at the time he denied using drugs.
In October 2018, the president's son pleaded not guilty to federal gun charges in U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, which accused him of lying about using drugs on a gun purchase form.
In 2018, he admitted to struggling with a crack cocaine addiction, but his lawyers maintained that he did not commit any legal violations.
Since then, Hunter Biden has stated that he has ceased using drugs and is making an effort to transform his life.
Hunter Biden was accused of lying about the purchase of a firearm, providing false information to a federal firearms dealer, and possessing a firearm while addicted to a controlled substance.
According to the indictment, on or about October 12, 2018, in the District of Delaware, Robert Hunter Biden, in connection with the acquisition of a firearm, that is, a Colt Cobra 38SPL Revolver with serial number RA 551363, knowingly made a false and fictitious written statement, intended and likely to deceive that dealer with respect to a fact material to the lawfulness of the sale of the firearm. Specifically, the defendant, Robert Hunter Biden, provided a written statement on Form 4473 certifying he was not an unlawful user of, and addicted to, any stimulant, narcotic drug, and any other controlled substance, when in fact, as he knew, that statement was false and fictitious.
