Create a DOGE subcommittee led by Marjorie Taylor Greene to collaborate with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.
The House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer is planning to create a subcommittee in collaboration with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to reduce government waste, according to Planet Chronicle Digital.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., has been appointed to chair the Delivering on Government Efficiency Subcommittee, which aims to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government.
The subcommittee is tasked with probing wasteful expenditures, exploring methods to streamline federal departments for enhanced productivity, and devising strategies to eradicate bureaucratic obstacles.
A source close to Planet Chronicle Digital reported that Comer met with Ramaswamy and his incoming DOGE team.
Ramaswamy is "cooperative with the Oversight Committee's efforts and has already begun collaborating."
President Trump's "landslide victory reflects a clear mandate to tackle inflationary spending that's increasing the cost of living for hardworking Americans," according to Comer.
He stated that the government's wasteful spending must cease, and taxpayers have a right to see their money being used productively and efficiently.
The new Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency will focus on the Trump administration's priorities to reduce government waste, optimize federal government operations, and eliminate the red tape that is hindering job growth and increasing costs for American citizens.
Comer expressed excitement about collaborating with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Elon Musk, and Vivek Ramaswamy to achieve the objectives of "Make America Great Again."
The House Oversight Committee is the ideal location to promote the DOGE objective, according to Greene's statement to Planet Chronicle Digital.
"Greene stated that she is thrilled to lead a new subcommittee that will collaborate closely with President Trump, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and the entire DOGE team. The committee's primary objective is to identify and investigate the inefficiencies, corruption, and unnecessary aspects of the federal government."
The subcommittee will ensure "transparency and truth" to the American people through hearings, as stated by Greene.
"The objective of DOGE is to promote accountability and eliminate ineffective government agencies."
Greene stated that she anticipates the subcommittee's efforts will reveal individuals who require termination.
"Greene stated that bureaucrats who do not perform their duties, fail audits like in the Pentagon, and are unaware of where billions of dollars are being spent will receive termination notices. Comer and Greene are committed to fulfilling the mandate of the voters on November 5th and are eager to begin their work."
This month, Trump appointed Musk and Ramaswamy to lead DOGE, which Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been promoting widely. DOGE has already begun seeking assistance from civilians.
Trump stated that Republican politicians have long harbored aspirations for DOGE's goals.
