Comer and IRS whistleblowers shred the protection of the 'Biden Crime Family' with the release of the incomplete Hunter Biden report.
A pair of IRS whistleblowers stated that the Weiss report fails to provide sufficient answers to several questions.
Chairman James Comer of the House Oversight Committee criticized Special Counsel David Weiss' report on his investigation into Hunter Biden as "incomplete" because of President Biden's pardon of his son.
Rep. Comer, R-Ky., stated Monday evening that Special Counsel David Weiss released an incomplete 27-page report due to President Joe Biden issuing an unprecedented pardon to his son, Hunter Biden. This sweeping pardon prevents Weiss from holding Hunter Biden accountable for the international influence peddling racket facilitated by Joe Biden.
The Biden DOJ never intended to prosecute the Biden family for their influence peddling schemes, as revealed by the House Oversight Committee's investigation.
On Monday evening, Congress received the report from the Department of Justice, which outlined the findings of Attorney General Merrick Garland's investigation into Hunter Biden's tax affairs and firearm purchase in 2018 while he was addicted to controlled substances, specifically crack cocaine.
Last year, Hunter Biden was found guilty of three felony firearm offenses by a jury of his peers and pleaded guilty to failing to pay at least $1.4 million in taxes over a four-year period.
President Biden initially pledged not to pardon his son, but later reversed his stance and granted a blanket pardon for any offenses against the U.S. committed or potentially committed by Hunter Biden between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.
Hunter Biden's tax issues were highlighted by two IRS whistleblowers who were handcuffed from "following evidence that could have led to Joe Biden."
Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, two courageous whistleblowers, exposed the misconduct and politicization of the DOJ in the Hunter Biden criminal investigation. Despite evidence that could have led to Joe Biden, they were hindered from following it. Joe Biden's legacy will be marked by his use of his final weeks in office to protect his son from the law and himself. The president's legacy is the same as his family's business dealings: corrupt.
Two whistleblowers who previously criticized Biden for pardoning his son last month also criticized the Weiss report and accused Biden of pardoning his son again.
The Weiss report did not provide enough answers, and the American people deserve to know the truth. The DOJ, FBI, and IRS leadership should have acted appropriately from the start. We should not have had to risk our careers to expose the preferential treatment given to the President's son. Even after years have passed, we are still facing retaliation from whistleblowers.
"It's time for a serious investigation and accountability since we are the only ones experiencing consequences," they concluded.
The report by Weiss criticized President Biden's decision to pardon Hunter Biden, particularly his characterization of the prosecutions against Hunter as "selective" and "unfair."
"In his report, Weiss wrote that the statement made by the president was unnecessary and incorrect. While other presidents have pardoned family members, none have used the opportunity to criticize the Department of Justice officials based on unfounded accusations."
"Politicians who criticize the decisions of career prosecutors as politically motivated when they disagree with the outcome of a case erode the public's trust in our criminal justice system, according to Weiss in another part of the report. The President's remarks unfairly question the integrity of all public servants who make tough decisions in good faith."
Weiss' report concluded that the first son's addiction to crack cocaine was not the reason for his failure to pay taxes on millions of dollars earned through his "last name and connections."
Mr. Biden, a well-educated lawyer and businessman, intentionally and knowingly failed to pay at least $1.4 million in taxes over a four-year period. From 2016 to 2020, Mr. Biden earned more than $7 million in total gross income, including approximately $1.5 million in 2016, $2.3 million in 2017, $2.1 million in 2018, $1 million in 2019, and $188,000 from January through October 15, 2020, as stated in Weiss's final report, which was released on Monday.
Mr. Biden secured lucrative business opportunities by leveraging his last name and connections, including a board seat at Burisma Holdings Limited and a joint venture with individuals associated with a Chinese energy conglomerate. He negotiated and executed contracts that paid him millions of dollars for limited work.
In his report, Weiss stated that Hunter Biden spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle instead of paying his taxes, and he willfully failed to pay his taxes for the years 2016 to 2019, even though he had the funds to pay some or all of these taxes.
"Weiss wrote that Mr. Biden's tax code violations were not inconsequential or technical, and his drug use could not explain his conduct. Specifically, Mr. Biden filed a false 2018 return in February 2020, eight months after regaining his sobriety, which deliberately underreported his income to lower his tax liability. Given the seriousness of his tax crimes, Weiss believed that the prosecution of Mr. Biden was warranted."
The White House did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment on the report and Comer's response.
Abbe Lowell, Hunter Biden's attorney, issued a statement Monday evening in response to the report, stating that it continues to overlook some of the significant enigmas of the 7-year investigation.
Lowell stated that Mr. Weiss had omitted his proposal to resolve the investigation in 2023 with misdemeanors and a diverted gun charge recommended by career prosecutors. Additionally, Mr. Weiss had failed to explain why he had reneged on his own agreement, which was a reversal that occurred at the 11th hour in court. This came as he and his office faced intense criticism from Republicans and he filed unprecedented charges against someone with no aggravating gun factors who had paid their taxes in full years before the charges were filed.
"The investigation into Hunter Biden is a cautionary tale of the abuse of prosecutorial power, as Mr. Weiss and his prosecutors pursued unfounded conspiracies about Mr. Biden by a Russian agent, which prolonged the investigation and cost taxpayers millions of dollars."
