Colorado Governor Jared Polis praises Trump's choice of RFK Jr. for HHS secretary.
Gov. Jared Polis expressed his eagerness to collaborate with him in order to restore the health of America.
Gov. Jared Polis of Colorado commended President-elect Trump for selecting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to serve as the new secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Polis commended Kennedy for aiding Colorado in overturning vaccine mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic in a lengthy social media post on Thursday.
"He helped us defeat vaccine mandates in Colorado in 2019 and will help make America healthy again by shaking up HHS and FDA," he wrote.
Polis expressed optimism about challenging big pharma and the corporate ag oligopoly to improve our health, rather than relying on personal choice on vaccines or bans, which he considers terrible, just like mandates.
Trump declared his selection of RFK Jr. for HHS secretary on Thursday, sparking a whirlwind of applause and condemnation.
Trump pledged to restore the HHS as the "Gold Standard Scientific Research" with Kennedy at its helm in his announcement.
"Trump wrote that Americans have been oppressed by the food and drug industries for too long, and that he will restore scientific research and transparency in government agencies to combat chronic diseases and revive the nation's health."
Kennedy launched his presidential campaign as a Democrat and then eventually endorsed Trump.
During Trump's Madison Square Garden rally last month, Kennedy also spoke and criticized the current state of the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party is a party of war and the CIA. The party's speech at the convention was written by neocons and was belligerent and pugnacious. It talked about the domination of the world by the United States through our weapons of war. The party today wants to divide Americans and is dismantling women's sports by allowing men to play in them.
"The party of Wall Street is the Harris campaign, which received $50 million from Bill Gates and endorsements from 50 former CIA agents and officers, John Bolton, and Dick Cheney."
In 2008, Obama strongly considered naming Kennedy to lead the Environmental Protection Agency.
Recently, Polis has joined forces with Illinois Gov. J.B Pritzker to co-chair a new coalition called Governors Safeguarding Democracy, where he has been critical of a Trump presidency.
Examples of threats to our democracy include fast-moving disinformation campaigns and cyberthreats.
"Pritzker stated that Trump plans to appoint individuals who are devoted to his personality rather than the law, according to the New York Times. "In the past, he was unaware of the government's mechanisms. However, I believe he now understands them. As a result, the danger remains significant," Pritzker added."
Polis stated on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that he and his administration would collaborate with Trump and his administration to benefit their state.
Polis mirrored his views, expressing on X that he is excited to collaborate with him to restore America's health.
Polis stated that he anticipates facing intense opposition from special interest groups on these issues, but he is excited to collaborate with him to restore America's health.
