Biden responds to criticism of SCOTUS changes by calling Speaker Johnson 'dead on arrival'.

On Monday, during a bizarre encounter with a journalist, House Speaker Mike Johnson was deemed "dead on arrival" by President Biden.

Biden's proposal to "radically overhaul the U.S. Supreme Court" was condemned by Johnson, who argued that it would "tilt the balance of power" and erode the rule of law.

"The Louisiana Republican contended that the proposal is the logical outcome of the Biden-Harris Administration and Congressional Democrats' ongoing efforts to delegitimize the Supreme Court. He predicted that their calls to expand and pack the Court will soon resume."

"The Biden-Harris Administration's attempt to change the system that has guided our nation since its founding because they disagree with some of the Court's recent decisions is a dangerous gambit that will be dead on arrival in the House."

Upon arrival in Austin, Texas on Monday afternoon, Biden provided an unclear response when asked by a reporter for his thoughts.

A reporter asked Mr. President for his reaction to House Speaker Johnson's statement that his Supreme Court reform is "dead on arrival."

"Who said that?" Biden responded.

The reporter repeated Speaker Johnson's statement that it was "dead on arrival."

The president replied, "That's what he is."

When the journalist asked for clarification, Biden doubled down on his retort.

"That he is – dead on arrival," he replied.

The president pledged to find a way to pass his proposed radical changes to the Supreme Court.

Biden later clarified his remarks in a speech, explaining that he was referring to Johnson's thought process.

"Biden said to the audience, "Whatever the Republican Speaker of the House proposes, I think his thinking is dead on arrival.""

The White House and Johnson's office were contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital for comment.
