In the aftermath of Donald Trump's 2024 presidential election victory, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., criticized the Democratic Party.
A Senate Democratic caucus member, who is classified as a left-wing lawmaker, claimed that the party has forsaken the working class.
Sanders stated that it is no surprise that the Democratic Party, which has forsaken working-class individuals, would see the working class abandon them. Initially, it was the white working class that left, followed by Latino and Black workers as well.
The American people are angry and want change, despite the Democratic leadership's defense of the status quo.
In the 2024 presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris was defeated by Trump, who won crucial swing states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
Sanders characterized Harris' campaign as "disastrous."

"Probably not, as they may not comprehend the pain and political alienation that millions of Americans are currently experiencing, nor do they have any suggestions on how to tackle the growing oligarchy's economic and political influence."
In the 2024 elections, Republicans won the Senate majority, while Sanders, who has been serving in the Senate since 2007, won another six-year term.
"Despite an increase in technology and worker productivity, many young people will have a lower standard of living than their parents due to inflation-adjusted weekly wages being lower for the average American worker now than 50 years ago."
Although we spend more per capita than other nations, we are the only wealthy country without universal healthcare as a human right, and we pay the highest prices globally for prescription drugs. Additionally, we are the only major country that does not guarantee paid family and medical leave.
The senator declared that, although many Americans strongly oppose it, the government continues to spend billions funding Netanyahu's war against the Palestinians, resulting in a humanitarian disaster with mass malnutrition and the starvation of thousands of children.
This week, Sanders expressed his pride in voting for Harris through a tweet.
