As his inauguration date approaches, President-elect Trump unveiled his latest Cabinet selections.
Trump announced on Friday evening that Bill Briggs would be the next Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. If confirmed, Briggs will work alongside Trump's choice for SBA Administrator, Kelly Loeffler.
"Bill, a successful businessman, served as the Acting Associate Administrator in the Office of Capital Access at SBA during my First Term. During his tenure, he helped oversee the Historic Paycheck Protection Program, which saved many small businesses and millions of jobs."
The president-elect named Ed Russo to lead the Environmental Advisory Task Force.
"Ed Russo, an Environmental Expert, has been appointed to lead our Environmental Advisory Task Force, which will advise my Administration on initiatives to create great jobs and protect our natural resources, in accordance with my policy of CLEAN AIR and CLEAN WATER."
As Trump finalizes his Cabinet selections, nominations are being announced.
Soon, the U.S. Senate, controlled by Republicans, will commence hearings on Trump's Cabinet picks.
Once Senator-elect Jim Justice of West Virginia is sworn in and Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine appoints a senator to fill Vice President-elect Vance's seat, Republicans will have 53 seats in the Senate while Democrats will have 47.
