AOC delivers a series of fiery Instagram posts on the eve of the inauguration: "I do not celebrate rapists."
The congresswoman warned her followers that an authoritarian administration is imminent.
On Sunday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., (AOC) was visibly agitated and active on social media, posting a series of rants about President-elect Donald Trump on Instagram.
Early in the morning, she scolded TikTok for sending a notification thanking "President Trump" for restoring the app.
Unfortunately, a law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S., which means you can't use the app at the moment. However, President Trump has indicated that he will work with us to find a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office. Please stay tuned for updates.
She claims in her Instagram stories that Trump is not yet the president and is still a private citizen, implying that referring to him as such raises issues about TikTok's content.
AOC stated that Donald Trump is no longer president and is a private citizen, hence he lacks access to presidential powers and the ability to perform any presidential duties.
She alleges that the app's mention of Donald Trump in the notification implies that they have agreed to secretly work with him and his administration.
She clarified that TikTok is being used as a propaganda tool by the Chinese for the right, addressing concerns that it would be used for nefarious purposes.
An authoritarian administration is imminent, and this is what 21st century fascism is beginning to resemble, as she cautioned her followers.
On Monday, she expressed her frustration on Instagram about being asked if she would attend Trump's inauguration.
The congresswoman expressed her agitation by saying, "All these journalists were like me, asking if I'm going to the inauguration. I don't celebrate rapists, so no, I'm not going to the inauguration room."
After her remarks were reposted by the Libs of TikTok account, she responded by clapping back at X and stated that Trump should sue her for calling him a rapist.
"Cry more," the congresswoman wrote in response to being triggered.
