A surge in illegal immigrants from this US enemy surpasses the previous year's record, creating a terrifying possibility.
The number of Chinese nationals entering the United States has surged by 6,300%.
This fiscal year, the number of Chinese nationals entering the United States illegally and stopped by Border Patrol has surpassed the total seen in all of fiscal year 2023, with six months remaining.
In the first six months of fiscal 2024, Border Patrol caught more Chinese nationals crossing illegally between ports of entry than in all of fiscal 2023.
In fiscal 2021, there were only 342 apprehensions, compared to 1,987 in fiscal 2022.
There have been 41,970 encounters between ports of entry in fiscal 2023, compared to 52,700.
Since fiscal 2021, the number of Chinese nationals entering illegally has increased by more than 6,300%, with 182 Chinese nationals being found in a single sector on a single day, as reported earlier this month.
Officials and lawmakers have expressed worries about the migrants' possible affiliations with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the influx of fentanyl into the U.S.
Last year, Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., and other lawmakers stated that there are many verified cases of Chinese nationals, under the orders of the CCP, committing espionage and stealing military and economic secrets.
In February, Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, informed Planet Chronicle that most Chinese border crossers are single adult males of military age.
"We are facing a terrifying possibility. We are aware that China does not like us, and we are in their crosshairs. Moreover, they are sending a large number of people to our country, which we must be cautious about."
The Chinese government provides tax incentives to companies that produce fentanyl and synthetic drug precursors, as long as they are exported.
"According to Rep. Mike Gallagher, the Republican chairman of the special House committee, the Chinese Communist Party's actions indicate that it desires more fentanyl to enter our country. The party appears to be seeking the chaos and devastation that has resulted from the epidemic."
Fentanyl, an illicit drug, is commonly produced in Mexico with Chinese chemicals and then smuggled across the southern border.
In California, a Chinese national was apprehended last month for trespassing on a Marine Corps base and disregarding directives to depart.
The Biden administration has recognized the broader national security threat from China in its national threat assessment, but not specifically from migrants, who undergo thorough vetting using biographic and biometric information.
Those who enter the U.S. illegally, including those from China, will face consequences, according to border officials.
The DHS enforces US immigration laws, increasing legal entry options while intensifying consequences for illegal border crossings, as stated by the agency following the arrest of a Chinese national at the military base.
"Those without a legal right to stay in the U.S. may be removed under Title 8 and face a five-year ban on reapplying and possible criminal charges if they re-enter without permission."
Chinese migrants have stated to Planet Chronicle that their primary goal is to improve their own lives and the lives of their families.
"One migrant told Fox last month that their English is not great and they don't know anyone in the US. However, they aspire to have a good life in the future and want their children to receive a good education. They aim to establish themselves in the US as soon as possible."
