A rising politician with a social media presence has been criticized for posting vulgar content, including the phrase "Open your Asian eyes."
Bobby Pulido recently stated that he has always been fascinated by the concept of public service since his childhood.
A Democrat being recruited to run for office in Texas has a social media history with racially charged posts and crude remarks about President Trump.
A recent Politico report states that accomplished singer and songwriter Bobby Pulido is being "heavily recruited" to run as a Democrat in Texas’ 15th Congressional District. Pulido has stated that he intends to put his singing career on hold to run for political office in 2026.
If Pulido runs for Congress, his racially charged and vulgar posts about President-elect Trump on social media could be used against him.
"It's fortunate that Wikileaks only targeted the Democrat Party," Pulido remarked in a response to the GOP Asian American account on Twitter in 2016. "Open your Asian eyes. That's more rigged than anything."
Pulido stated in a post that if someone believes Hillary Clinton is worse than Trump, they are blind.
"In December 2016, Pulido tweeted at then President-elect Donald Trump, saying "F--- your mother.""
Pulido said to Trump in another post, "I'd like to give you the biggest 'f--- you' you piece of s---, a--hole, d--- head, son of a bit--."
Pulido's use of crude language to attack Trump on his page may not be popular with Republican voters in Texas, where he won by 14 points in November and made historically significant strides with Hispanic voters in the Lone Star State.
In 2015, a Twitter user posed a question to Pulido in Spanish: "What advice would you give to those who harass me because I enjoy your music?"
Pulido posted: "I said f--- their race."
Politico reported that Pulido plans to launch his candidacy in the near future and is likely to run in Texas' 15th Congressional District against Republican Rep. Monica De La Cruz.
""Serving my people has always been my lifelong dream, and in 2026 I plan to fulfill it by running for public office," Pulido stated in a recent livestream about retiring from music."
Pulido did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
