On Monday, a man with an AK-47 pistol and a ski mask was arrested near the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, where the Republican National Convention is taking place, a federal law enforcement source told Planet Chronicle.
Near the RNC perimeter, a suspicious man was observed by Homeland Security Investigators and Capitol Police while wearing a ski mask and carrying a tactical bag, according to Planet Chronicle' source.
A gun and a full magazine were discovered in the bag, but his motivations were not evident.
On Monday at 1 p.m., a 21-year-old man was arrested on the 1200 block of N. 11th Street, as confirmed by Milwaukee Police to Planet Chronicle.
The man does not possess a concealed weapon license in Wisconsin or any other state, according to police.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the charges, police said.
Milwaukee Police were contacted by Planet Chronicle regarding the incident, while Homeland Security Investigations and the Department of Homeland Security have not responded to their inquiries.
