A House GOP Conference lawmaker is stating that she will reduce her daily responsibilities as a Republican, to focus more on assisting the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Rep. Victoria Spartz, R-Ind., announced that she will decline any committee assignments she receives and will abstain from attending the weekly conference meetings of the House GOP.

On Monday evening, Rep. Victoria Spartz, R-Ind., stated that she will remain a registered Republican but will refrain from sitting on committees and participating in the caucus until she observes Republican leadership in Congress acting responsibly.

"I prefer to devote more of my time to aiding [DOGE] in saving our Republic, as per the mandate of the American people."

Spartz did not elaborate on how she would focus her efforts on DOGE.

She has frequently disagreed with House GOP leadership on spending and debt issues during the 118th Congress. Currently, she serves on the House Judiciary Committee.

Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have been tapped to lead the push, and it has been met with enthusiasm among House Republicans.

The Congressional DOGE Caucus will hold its first lawmaker meeting on Tuesday, and Spartz's comments were shared the day before.

The Indiana Republican was contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital to inquire about her interest in joining the caucus.
