A former Trump official in a crucial Senate race responds to a major endorsement rejection.
In the Nevada Senate race, former US Army Capt Sam Brown received Trump's last-minute endorsement.
A former Trump official in Nevada, running for Senate, reacted angrily after being denied an endorsement from his ex-boss.
Late Sunday, former U.S. Army Capt. Sam Brown won the backing of former President Trump in his bid to flip Nevada red, instead of Dr. Jeffrey Gunter, who had hoped for Trump's support.
Weeks of behind-the-scenes battles were fought by both candidates and their supporters close to Trump to secure his endorsement.
Gunter criticized national Republicans for supporting Brown's candidacy, stating that "Mitch McConnell money wins, the American people lose. Rinse and repeat."
Gunter alleged in an early Monday X post that the endorsement was due to a "big check," which the NRSC rejected as an "unglued" attack on Trump.
After President Trump endorsed war hero Sam Brown, California Democrat Jeff Gunter became completely unhinged and falsely smeared the president on Twitter, sounding more like Adam Schiff than a conservative, according to Mike Berg, communications director of the NRSC.
Gunter was criticized by some close to Trump for accusing the former president of "pay for play," prompting him to remove the post.
Gunter responded in another post, stating that he did not accuse President Trump of anything and would always support him 110%. However, he added that his "top advisers" had some explaining to do.
Gunter was interviewed by Planet Chronicle Digital hours before Trump endorsed Brown on Truth Social. He expressed confidence in the upcoming primary, stating that internal polling showed him either tied or leading Brown.
"Gunter stated that there are rumors circulating that we are doing well, and we are working diligently to make Nevada great again as the true Trump supporter and MAGA candidate."
Gunter claims that he is the only one capable of defeating incumbent Democrat Sen. Jacky Rosen in the general election, while Brown's campaign cites internal polls showing him with a substantial advantage over Gunter.
Gunter reported polls indicating Rosen's lead over Brown, but a recent New York Times poll showed them tied at 41%, with an undecided number. There is limited independent polling on a potential matchup between Gunter and Rosen.
"If you like Mitch McConnell and Nikki Haley, you might enjoy Sam Brown. But if you're an America First supporter who loves Donald Trump, I'm the true MAGA candidate. I worked for him as his U.S. ambassador, and I'm committed to my principles. That's why we're doing so well in Nevada."
Gunter advised undecided voters to consider his experience as an ambassador and doctor, as well as his loyalty to Trump, when making their voting decisions.
Despite repeated attempts by Planet Chronicle Digital to interview Brown prior to the primary, his campaign declined to commit to an interview at the time of publication.
On Tuesday, it is predicted that Rosen will effortlessly secure her primary victory and may encounter either Brown or Gunter in the general election.
The Republicans see Nevada as a key chance to regain control of the Senate from the Democrats, who currently hold a narrow 51-49 advantage.
