The world is captivated by the adorable reaction of a baby to his new glasses: 'Melts hearts'

A video of a baby wearing glasses has gone viral on social media, garnering over 100 million views on TikTok and Instagram.

The video of 1-year-old Liam Frederick trying on his new glasses was posted by his mom, Stephanie Mazzone-Meyer, and it was evident that he enjoyed the new view. (Watch the video at the top of this article.)

Mazzone-Meyer spoke exclusively to Planet Chronicle Digital about the experience.

At the time the video began to gain traction, she and her husband were on a road trip from their home in New York to Wisconsin.

She decided to upload the video to TikTok because it slowly gained traction on her personal Instagram during a trip.

She fell asleep during the 16-hour car ride and woke up to a video that had millions of views.

In several countries, including Italy, Chile, Spain, and the Netherlands, the video has been shared by newscasts.

"This is the best video I have ever seen."

Mazzone-Meyer stated that the feedback she has received has been encouraging, with some individuals expressing that the video was the best they had ever come across.

I was having a terrible week until I saw a video of your son and it brightened my day, and now I'm crying uncontrollably at work.

The mom stated that her video has assisted other parents in focusing on their babies' eye health and scheduling an optometrist appointment if they observe any visual abnormalities or cross-eyes.

I hope Liam can bring joy to others as he does to us every day, despite the challenges he has faced during his short life on earth.

She added, 'He exudes goodness,' and I believe the daily comments we receive support this.

"He's a completely different baby."

Since Liam had abnormal scans in utero and was born early, his pediatrician and care team recommended a series of tests after his three-week NICU stay, including an optometrist appointment.

The baby's eyes appeared slightly farsighted at the first appointment, but it was not a cause for concern.

Months later, his physician decided on a follow-up appointment and determined that he needed glasses immediately.

Mazzone-Meyer said Liam has always been a smiley baby.

After her baby received new glasses, she observed that he was smiling more, grabbing more, and playing more.

Mazzone-Meyer stated that the baby is now a completely different individual with his new glasses.

"Although it saddened me that he had an unknown issue, now we are thrilled to have caught it, and he can see us and the world."

Liam's video brings joy, happiness and positivity to people's day-to-day lives, as Mazzone-Meyer added, "It's no secret that people are going through tough times globally."
