The present of Jesus is the gift.
Thousands of people are expected to attend a Christmas Revival event.
James* is not the type of person you meet every day.
He is over six feet tall and exudes a powerful aura. He resides in Minneapolis and, like many of us, has grappled with addiction.
One day, he was struggling and feeling lost. He prayed for a sign that God existed, that he was real and alive. It was the summer of 2023 and James frequently wandered city blocks, searching for something to satisfy his addiction and fill the void within him.
On that day, James met a group of young individuals who were on a mission to spread the message of Jesus. These young evangelists were seeking out people who would be receptive to hearing them share the Good News. They approached James on the street and inquired, "Do you believe in God?"
Believing it might be a sign, James didn't know what to say.
He was searching for answers to his questions about Jesus, putting faith in Him, and knowing if he was saved, despite the group sharing the Gospel with him.
Making the connection
I frequently use social media to connect with others, and I started Pulse Evangelism 20 years ago to share Jesus with a world that is preoccupied and disheartened.
Upon receiving a Facebook chat message from a man named James, I considered it abnormal.
James wrote asking about Jesus.
That day, I discovered that he had met with our young evangelists.
I invited him to my office to discuss the grace of Jesus, who died for his sins and mine, and how it could help him fill the hole in his life.
As James entered, I had to tilt my head back to gaze at him. This man is towering! We discussed the concept of grace and how Jesus compensated for our transgressions.
James was surprised as much as I was when he gave his life to Jesus in my office. He realized that God's grace wasn't limited to the good or perfect, but was available to someone like him.
"My relationship with Jesus Christ has brought me more fulfillment than anything I've ever acquired through effort or means," he declares. He is now an active member of a church and is deepening his faith.
Grace doesn't always result in the desired outcome, but it can appear in unexpected places.
Are you ready for revival?
The revival movement is gaining momentum worldwide, with individuals like James, who overcame addiction, and younger generations, such as those who shared their faith in Minneapolis, taking the lead. People from all races and tribes are also joining the movement.
Maybe you are doubting that revival is really happening. I understand.
Perhaps you believe that the world has become too dark and divided, and that only the wealthy, intelligent, and politically savvy individuals should be considered.
I have spent my entire adult life investing in people from diverse backgrounds, and there are certainly many reasons to feel discouraged.
Revival is occurring, and it's not just my claim.
This Christmas, you can see for yourself exactly what God is doing.
What is your anthem of life? Have you considered what motivates and drives you, like James did when he asked himself, "What am I living for?"
An anthem can spark a worldwide discussion. It's a goal to motivate every person on the planet to reflect on their own personal anthem.
What is the anthem of your life and how loud are you about it?
This Christmas season, those whose lives have been transformed by Jesus are encouraged to proclaim the hope of Jesus and spread His message.
A Christmas broadcast of Anthem is scheduled for December 18.
On December 18th, the Anthem Christmas broadcast will feature new renditions of Amazing Grace by Rend Collective and Katy Nichole, as well as their popular songs. Additionally, two young adult evangelists will share their testimonies, and there will be an interview with Carson Wentz, the former Pro Bowl and Super Bowl winning quarterback.
I will be sharing a message about finding hope in Jesus and inviting people to respond.
That's where you come in.
Would you be willing to assist us in spreading the word about the Anthem Christmas broadcast by watching it, sharing it with others, hosting events at your church, and encouraging your loved ones to watch and share their story? Would you like to be a part of the anthem this holiday season?
I have personally experienced the profound impact that mentoring and training can have, as I was mentored by Billy Graham, Luis Palau, and others.
If we had invested in those around us and shared the hope of Jesus, many of the scandals we see in the world today could have been avoided.
We are praying for hundreds of thousands to accept Jesus through the Anthem Christmas broadcast, knowing that it is all worth it for the One - King Jesus, the Son of God, who lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead in triumph.
We follow Jesus' example of going after each person and testifying to the reality that he forgives, heals, delivers, and saves all who call upon his name through the power of his Spirit.
Join the revival. Join the anthem.
