The Harley-Davidson board of directors remains mum on the company's future and the fate of its "woke" CEO and chairman.

Harley-Davidson's leadership is facing scrutiny due to a string of unusual strategic choices and media stunts that have garnered significant attention.

Harley-Davidson's brand integrity has been harmed by CEO Jochen Zeitz's "woke" agenda, which included comparing himself to the Taliban in his pursuit of sustainability. This has led to outrage on social media and a rebellion among the company's loyal customers.

Recently, the company issued a statement rejecting DEI and other contentious initiatives that it had implemented in recent years.

The company emphasized the importance of hiring and retaining top talent and ensuring that all employees feel welcome.

"Since April 2024, we have not operated a DEI function and do not have one today. We do not have hiring quotas and no longer have supplier diversity spend goals."

Recently, filmmaker and conservative political commentator Robby Starbuck tweeted that Harley-Davidson, once a beloved American brand, had become "totally woke" under CEO Jochen Zeitz's leadership.

This week, Starbuck celebrated the company's change of heart.

"Recently on CEO Jochen Zeitz’s watch, they’ve gone totally woke."

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, motorcycle manufacturer, one of America's most cherished brands, is facing growing concerns about its direction.

Zeitz is both Harley-Davidson's CEO and chairman of the board.

This week, Planet Chronicle Digital tried to contact Zeitz and Harley-Davidson, as well as all board members, to discuss their perspectives on recent events and other concerns.

Jochen Zeitz

Harley-Davidson, Inc. is led by its chairman, president, and CEO.

At 30, he became CEO of Puma and founded Team B, which aims to shape business through a social agenda. He also opened the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art in South Africa in 2017.

Zeitz, who became CEO of Harley-Davidson in 2020, told executives at a globalist business summit in Switzerland that the company is trying to challenge traditional capitalism and redefine it.
