See NICU babies dressed up in cute Halloween outfits for their first holiday experience.
During the festivities, one NICU baby was dressed as grape jelly and another like a mermaid.
Despite being too small to go trick-or-treating this year, these NICU babies are still celebrating Halloween with enthusiasm.
Hosting a costume contest for little ones and their families in the NICU during Halloween can be a stressful time for families, but the nurses at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, made it extra special by creating some Halloween magic.
A pumpkin, Harry Potter, mermaid, tiny frog in a blue truck, Pac-Man, and grape jelly were among the costumes.
The NICU unit at Broward Health Medical Center was transformed with an "enchanting display of costumes and festive decor."
The adorable babies in their costumes and festive decor were captured on video from the event.
Some babies born as early as 25 weeks had been in the hospital for four months, according to the hospital's records.
"We ensured that NICU families didn't miss out on celebrating their baby's first Halloween by joining in the fun," they stated.
