Kirk Cameron reveals new nonfiction book, 'Born to Be Brave,' on spiritual resurgence in America.
A multifaceted individual offers a "practical guide to transforming our society."
Kirk Cameron has announced that his new adult hardcover nonfiction book, "Born to Be Brave," will be published in October by Post Hill Press.
A "guidebook for America's spiritual revival" is what he refers to as a practical and motivational examination of how we can transform our society.
On Monday, July 8, Cameron announced the release of his book, following news of his family's relocation from California to Tennessee. Cameron and his wife, Chelsea Noble, have six grown children.
On Saturday, July 6, during an interview on "Fox & Friends Weekend," Cameron stated that while there are concerns about politics, crime, and the economy, he has observed an influx of California refugees in Tennessee, Texas, and Florida. These individuals have left California due to frustration over their values not being reflected in their work projects.
On Sunday afternoon, Cameron shared with Planet Chronicle Digital via text message that his new book, "Dark and evil forces have destroyed American culture and the family of faith is feeling threatened and scared. Many believe there's nothing that can be done to stop it," he stated.
"I assert that God has granted us a legacy of bravery, and if we embrace this fearlessness, the Army of Compassion will restore the nation's Christian identity."
To change the nation and the world, we must move beyond paralyzed outrage and act with courage and confidence. God is always moving, and we can keep up with Him because He has given us the ability to do so. We were born to be brave.
He stated that he wanted readers to feel empowered to defeat their opponents and recognize culture as a calling to create with the new book.
He stated that the book includes biblical perspectives and real-life examples of individuals who displayed courage in their devotion to God and others.
He stated that readers would comprehend how America's history guides the future and recognize the importance of the gospel in politics, as genuine change necessitates a heart transformation.
"There’s a widespread sense that things are not right."
Cameron hopes that "Born to Be Brave" will inspire readers to bravely share gospel truths with their friends, family, and community, resulting in a positive transformation of society.
In an advance copy of his book, Cameron predicts that changes are already underway, which he believes are long overdue.
"If there is such a thing as sensing the vibe of a time, then many people, including myself, believe we are witnessing the beginning of a significant spiritual upheaval. There is a growing restlessness among believers for more of God's power, and among unbelievers, there is a growing dissatisfaction with the unappetizing feast offered by secular humanism."
Additionally, he writes, "A pervasive belief exists that things are not correct, and there is an urgent quest taking place."
On August 24th, Cameron will host a "See You at the Library 2024" national event as a call to unite for family, faith, and country in a divided America, continuing his initiative from last year with Brave Books.
According to Cameron, it is not surprising to anyone who loves God, their children, and America that our country and our children are under attack today.
He stated that he thinks it's crucial to convey messages of faith, family, and positive values to America's kids today.
"Teaching our children what's important is crucial and there's no time to waste. As a nation, we are where we are today due to the inability of good people to impart important values to their children," he stated.
"Unfortunately, we have been swayed by propaganda and falsehoods that others are better suited to impart crucial values to our children, such as those found in public schools or church youth pastors."
"Courage, hope, and faith are what our movement aims to instill in parents and grandparents so that they can raise their children," said Cameron.
The book includes a foreword and eight chapters, such as "A Vision of Victory" and "Army of Compassion."
