In a wedding-day "fumble," the father of the bride accidentally overlooks his own daughter.
Everyone remained in good spirits despite the mishap on the wedding day.
On her wedding day, the bride's father accidentally left her behind at the altar.
Amy Totty, the daughter of 60-year-old Neil Crossley, recently got married in Yorkshire, England.
During the wedding ceremony, the father of the bride accidentally made a memorable moment as he walked down the aisle towards the altar without the bride.
The event staff stopped Crossley halfway down the aisle and informed him that he needed to return to walk with his daughter due to a miscommunication with the father of the bride.
As Crossley turned around and walked back to escort the bride, the moment was caught on camera and had guests at the wedding laughing.
Everyone in the room found the "initial fumble" funny, and he was able to make jokes about it in his father-of-the-bride speech at the wedding reception.
"The guests found my joke about the wedding amusing, and we all laughed heartily," he stated.
Totty and her husband even thought the moment was funny.
She told SWNS that it was just "pure miscommunication."
She said, "He thought they told him to walk when they had actually said wait for me."
The bride and her guests shared a laugh at the "perfect timing" during an emotional moment, bringing smiles to everyone's faces.
Totty appreciated it even more because he helped her compose herself while she was trying hard not to cry.
None of us will forget it was a special moment.
The commenter praised the story as "cute" and noted that it produced "great pictures." They particularly admired the image of the father and daughter laughing while walking down the aisle.
