'Erik Estrada, the actor known for his role in 'CHiPs,' discusses the positive impact of faith on his life and career: "It's a good thing."'
'The host of 'Divine Revelation' shares with Planet Chronicle Digital that his new show brings him joy and fulfillment.'
Erik Estrada, known for his role in "CHiPs," is set to release the second season of his show "Divine Renovation," and for him, faith plays a significant role in both his career and personal life.
"Divine Renovation," a docuseries, combines the popularity of home improvement shows with a spiritual component, according to its producers, Heartlight Entertainment.
Estrada collaborates with nonprofits, houses of worship, local businesses, and neighbors to aid families in need in the show's episodes.
Monty Hobbs, the show's executive producer, pitched the idea to Estrada due to his background with faith films. Estrada starred in "Finding Faith," "Virtuous," and "Uncommon."
Hobbs informed Estrada that he wanted to create a show that promotes good deeds and a positive outlook, while working with the community and assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Estrada stated on Planet Chronicle Digital that the show aids individuals in obtaining necessary items despite their financial limitations.
"People out there need stuff," he said.
"These things are necessary, but many individuals cannot afford them."
The show can secure funding from local businesses, which will ultimately benefit both the recipient of the renovation and the business itself, according to him.
"Estrada stated, "We partner with community appliance stores to provide stoves and washer-dryers, and in return, they receive years of free advertising for a small donation of a product that we can give to those in need. This helps us improve their living conditions.""
Estrada stated on Planet Chronicle Digital that assisting these organizations brings him joy.
"We can help them do it, and there's nothing wrong with that," he said.
"I believe it's great. Personally, it's a positive thing. It's a satisfying thing. It uplifts me."
This season, "Divine Renovation" visits Friends in Service to Humanity (FISH), a shelter and food pantry located in Torrington, Connecticut.
Estrada stated that "Divine Renovation" undertook various home improvements at the shelter, including installing a new floor and a 25-foot flagpole for the veterans residing there.
Estrada stated that faith helps him cope with difficult situations.
Besides his hosting responsibilities, Estrada is a covert law enforcement officer who focuses on apprehending child sexual predators.
Estrada connects to his Christian faith by seeking forgiveness and assistance from God, as he stated.
Estrada stated that he apologizes for his mistakes and choices, and asked for forgiveness. He acknowledged the emotional and mental toll it takes on him and how it affects his sleep. He requested help, stating that he needs it at this time.
He stated, "I discover that conversing with your inner voice, your inner guide, and your inner self is equivalent to communicating with God."
"So, it helps."
