A shark warning was issued by the Honolulu Emergency Services Department after a marine creature was spotted swimming 30 yards from the island's break wall along Oahu's South Shore, according to Island News.
After being spotted at noon on June 27, the Honolulu emergency team classified the shark as "non-aggressive."
No injuries or attacks have been reported, as officials stated that the shark was not behaving aggressively, according to the local outlet.
Shark warning signs have been posted along Magic Island since the sighting.
Visitors and swimmers at the beach are advised to consult with lifeguards on duty before entering the water to ensure they have the latest information on any shark warnings.
According to Ocean Conservancy, tiger sharks are renowned for their aggression and have the second-most attacks on humans among shark species, surpassed only by great white sharks.
According to National Geographic, tiger sharks are among the three shark species that pose the greatest threat to humans, with the bull shark and the great white shark being the other two.
