A North Carolina mother was admitted to the hospital after mistakenly using nail glue instead of eyedrops.
The woman ended up in the hospital due to mistakenly combining her eye drops with nail glue.
A North Carolina mother has gained popularity on TikTok after mistakenly applying nail glue instead of medicated eye drops, resulting in a hospital visit.
In December, a painful accident sent the mother, who is also a foster parent, to her local hospital in Concord, North Carolina, according to Fox 4 Dallas.
An unidentified woman was depicted in a hospital bed with her eyes taped shut in a viral video.
Ria Faggart, the daughter of the woman in the viral video, posted on a GoFundMe page that if you are viewing the video, then you have seen her mother with glued eyes.
Faggart stated that her mother's eyes would open between 5-7 weeks to determine if any harm had occurred.
"She is a foster mom and does not have disability insurance, so she will be out of work. We appreciate all of the prayers and concern."
Someone has made the same mistake before, confusing nail glue with eye drops.
In October, Brianne Shipley, a Florida resident, went viral after mistakenly using nail glue instead of eye medication to treat a bacterial infection.
"She told PEOPLE that after receiving the notification, she instinctively reached for the bottle, opened one eye to put the drops in, but realized the consistency of the plastic bottle felt off. As the drop fell, she started screaming."
