Biden's home state to host Trump rally prior to hush money trial.
Trump declared on Friday that he will be giving testimony at his hush money trial during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago.
On Saturday, former President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Pennsylvania, the home state of President Joe Biden, just before the former President's hush money trial begins in New York City.
The former president and 2024 White House presidential candidate will give a speech at the Schnecksville Fire Hall in Lehigh County and attend a fundraiser in Bucks County. This is Trump's third visit to the state this year, in preparation for the 2024 elections in November.
In 2016, Trump won Pennsylvania, but in 2020, he lost the state to Biden, who was born in Scranton and frequently discusses his Pennsylvania heritage.
On Tuesday, Biden will give a speech in Scranton about taxes, which is scheduled a day after Tax Day on April 15. The purpose of his speech is to emphasize the question of whether the tax code should benefit the wealthy or the middle class. Biden has made his stance clear, as has Trump.

On Friday, Trump announced that he would be testifying at his upcoming hush money trial in New York City during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago. The former President was joined by Speaker Mike Johnson, R-Fla., who was in Palm Beach to unveil a legislative package aimed at enhancing election security.
On the same day that the judge in charge of the case turned down a final effort from Trump's legal team to postpone the trial, the announcement was made.
"Trump stated to reporters, "I'm testifying. I always tell the truth. All I can do is speak the truth. And the truth is, there's no case.""
When asked if he planned to testify, Trump referred to his trial as a "scam" and a "witch hunt."
The trial is linked to accusations that the ex-President manipulated financial documents to conceal a payment to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign. This is the first trial of the year, with Trump previously maintaining his innocence on all charges.
