A woman who resembles Taylor Swift is frequently interrupted for selfies and responds with, "I was born this way."
For 14 years, a 40-year-old woman from Kansas has been frequently stopped for selfies.
Since Taylor Swift began dating Travis Kelce, the woman who closely resembles her has said that her life has become increasingly chaotic.
For the past 14 years, Taylor Swift has been mistaken for Kelley Thrasher, a 40-year-old nanny from Shawnee, Kansas.
With age, Thrasher and Planet Chronicle Digital resemble each other more closely than ever before, despite not initially noticing the resemblance.
For 14 years, she has been told that she resembles someone else.
""Although I didn't see the resemblance as much as others, I think I look more like her now as we've aged," she said."
Thrasher recalled one of the first times she was stopped by Swifties.
The "Speak Now" tour by Swift took place 12 years ago.
Thrasher recounted how he was at her 'Speak Now' tour twelve years ago and was mobbed by a group of kids and moms. He admitted that it was a bit frightening.
As we were attempting to escape, someone at the entrance asked for credentials. Perplexed, we replied "no" and were escorted to the floor and tunnel entrance.
She said, "Uh, I think this went too far," before adding that Swift's security detail drove the pair back to their seats via golf cart.
During the concert, Thrasher continued to receive requests for photographs from fans.
Today, Thrasher continues to be stopped by strangers requesting selfies, particularly in Kansas City, where she resides near Swift's boyfriend and Chiefs football player Travis Kelce.
Thrasher has been receiving selfie requests from strangers for years, but the situation has worsened since moving to KC and dating Travis Kelce.
She joked, "I definitely think I need a shirt that says, 'Not Taylor's Version.'"
With the support of friends and a Bruno Mars endorsement, Thrasher decided to pursue a career as a Taylor Swift impersonator.
She added, "I finally gave in after meeting Bruno Mars and hearing him tell me I needed to."
Thrasher admitted to feeling anxious about deceiving others into believing she was Swift.
After her first performance, she understood that many individuals regarded her as a royalty.
She said that they love it and know it's all in good fun.
She hopes Swift won't be upset by her lookalike side job.
Thrasher added that she "was born this way."
