The new generation, Gen Beta, will commence in 2025 with babies being born.

The newest generation, Generation Beta, will be born in the year 2025.

The next generation, Gen Beta, will consist of children born between 2025 and 2039, following Generation Alpha (2010 to 2024).

By 2035, Gen Beta will account for 16% of the global population, and many of them will still be alive in the 22nd century.

Mark McCrindle, a demographer and futurist, led a research and analysis group that wrote in an article that Gen Beta represents a pivotal chapter in our evolving world.

McCrindle stated that Alpha and Beta were named to represent the first generations that will be influenced by a completely different world.

According to experts, Gen Beta will encounter numerous rapidly changing global factors, including advancing technology, pressing societal issues, environmental sustainability, and climate change.

"The DNA of children doesn't change, but the culture does – and it has a dramatic impact on how kids turn out."

McCrindle predicted that since Gen Beta will mostly be the children of younger millennials and older Gen Zers, their parents will prioritize adaptability, equality, and eco-consciousness in their parenting.

"The article states that Generation Beta will become more globally minded, community-focused, and collaborative due to their upbringing, which will emphasize the importance of innovation for solving the pressing challenges of their time."

Analysts predict that as artificial intelligence becomes more widespread and technology becomes more accessible, Gen Beta's digital and physical worlds will be "integrated" rather than "seamless."

McCrindle wrote that Generation Beta will grow up in a time when AI and automation are seamlessly integrated into daily life, affecting various aspects such as education, workplaces, healthcare, and entertainment.

It is predicted by the research group that Gen Beta will likely have autonomous transportation, wearable health technologies, and immersive virtual environments as standard aspects of daily life.

"AI algorithms will personalize their formative years by tailoring their learning, shopping, and social interactions."

The analysts observed that as Gen Beta kids grow up in a world of constant technology, digital interactions will play a crucial role in forming social connections, acquiring knowledge, and building careers.

"McCrindle predicts that Generation Beta will strike a balance between hyper-connectivity and personal expression. They will redefine what it means to belong by blending in-person relationships with global digital communities."

Generational parenting

Experts predict that the future of Gen Beta children will depend heavily on their millennial and Gen Z parents, who view technology as a valuable learning resource but are also cautious about the potential dangers of excessive screen time.

"You can't change the world, but you can change how you're parenting."

Dr. Michele Borba, an educational psychologist and parenting expert, emphasized the importance of parents paying attention to the needs of Gen Beta in order for them to thrive.

Borba, a California-based expert, stated in an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital that while children's DNA remains unchanged, their culture significantly influences their outcomes.

"Although you can't alter the world, you can modify your parenting approach."

Paying attention to what drives your child is crucial to their development and happiness, according to one psychologist. (iStock)

"Recognizing changes is the first step for parents to ensure their kids can handle a new world," she added.

According to the psychologist, Gen Beta will be a "generation of digital natives" who will grow up in a world where their tasks, shopping, and homework can be completed for them.

AI will affect critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication, according to Borba's prediction.

Parents should teach their Gen Beta kids to be adaptable because technology and job markets will undergo significant changes in their lifetime.

Borba advised parents to stay calm during uncertain times, as their children will mimic their behavior.

The psychologist emphasized the significance of children having ample social interaction, particularly if they lack siblings.

She emphasized that the key to her children's well-being is having robust social connections.

The youngest generations are already experiencing social regression, which has led to shorter attention spans and a fear of taking risks, Borba warned.

It is crucial for parents of new generation kids to identify and cultivate their unique talents.

"Determine your child's personality from an early age, rather than focusing on what you want them to achieve."
