Ivanka Trump reveals the workout regimen that has 'changed' her physique: 'Gradual and controlled'
A former president's daughter and mother of three has shifted her focus to build more muscle.
The second child of former President Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, is disclosing information about her fitness and wellness routine.
A 43-year-old mother and business executive recently posted about her fitness journey on Instagram, highlighting her transition to weight training.
Trump wrote in a post alongside a shared video, "As many women do, I previously concentrated mainly on cardio, yoga, and Pilates."
After relocating to Miami, I have shifted my focus to weightlifting and resistance training, which has been transformative in helping me build muscle and shift my body composition in ways I hadn't imagined.
She spends three to four days a week on strength training, either alone or with a trainer. (See her fitness routine for more details.)
She emphasizes the use of "basic, proven techniques" such as squats, deadlifts, hinges, pushes, and pulls in her strength training approach.
Trump, who served as her father's top aide during his presidency, stated that these are the cornerstones of her workout, focusing on functional strength for life.
Trump, while working with a trainer, initially focused on improving her form before increasing the weight.
"To ensure a safe and steady progression while maintaining the integrity of each movement, I incorporate mobility work within my sessions to enhance range of motion."
Her strength, athleticism, and resilience have been improved by weightlifting, as stated by Trump.
"I have shifted my focus to weightlifting and resistance training, and it has been transformative."
Nutrition has also been key to her stronger physique.
Increasing my protein intake dramatically has been critical to my progress, although it is new for me, Trump wrote in the post.
"I consume between 30 to 50 grams of protein per meal and have never been stronger."
She does yoga, outdoor activities, and sports with her kids, including surfing, swimming, hiking, walking, and golf, when she's not in the gym.
She also includes short, high-intensity interval training sessions each week to improve her cardiovascular fitness.
"Trump wrote that a balanced approach has revitalized his fitness routine and produced impressive outcomes. He emphasized that every individual's routine is unique and that consistency is key to success."
‘Secret recipe’
Regis Pagett, the founder and owner of R Personal Fitness in New York City, commented on a post related to Trump's training, but she is not involved in his training.
He told Planet Chronicle Digital that the "secret recipe" everyone is looking for is her emphasis on resistance training.
"Resistance training is now widely known to be the most effective method for achieving a slimmer and toned physique."
Pagett trains women over 50 by focusing on low-weight, high-repetition compound movements, such as a TRX row, using only bodyweight for 15 reps.
He incorporates high-weight, moderate-repetition compound movements, including the barbell deadlift with 85 pounds for eight reps, to achieve an "overall sculpted look."
A high-protein lifestyle and proper form are crucial for targeted muscle activation in exercise and nutrition, according to Pagett, a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach.

"By activating specific muscles during workouts, you can accurately target the muscles you want to strengthen and develop. Additionally, a high-protein diet aids in recovery time and reduces soreness between workouts."
