A 10-foot alligator was removed from a Florida resident's pool after breaking through a backyard screen.

An uninvited guest visited a Florida neighborhood and decided to take a dip in a resident's pool.
After discovering that the intruder was a massive alligator, officers arrived on the scene.
The NSB police posted about the reptile encounter on their Facebook page.
Venetian Bay welcomed this alligator as its new resident overnight.
An alligator in need of safe removal was assisted by a trapper from Florida Fish and Wildlife.
"Be cautious not to be deceived by the angle - he was approximately 10 feet long!" The NSB officers shared a selfie on Facebook featuring a gator in a pool.
In the comments section, Facebook users inquired about how the alligator got into the confined area.
"A portion of the screen was pushed through by the gator," the NSB officers responded.
Alligators have been making recent headlines as gator mating season is underway.
A 12-and-a-half foot alligator was taken away from a school walkway where kids often gather.
The courtship stage for alligators is in April, and the official mating season takes place between May and June, as per the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
