Sources report that Oscar "Bladerunner" Pistorius, a convicted murderer and former Olympic athlete, may face assassination after his release from prison on Friday.

Allegedly, Pistorius was informed by police that he could be murdered in retaliation for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. It is claimed that threats were made by underworld figures who are believed to support the family of the deceased girl.

Pistorius will remain in either a cottage or a three-story mansion within Arnold's fortified compound in Pretoria, South Africa. The compound boasts armed guards, electronic security measures, and reportedly houses attack dogs. Located in the Waterkloof suburb, an area renowned for housing embassies and overlooking Pretoria, the compound provides a secure environment for Pistorius.

Steenkamp's mother, June, has criticized Pistorius for not expressing regret over the shooting death of her daughter, Barry, who passed away last year. Pistorius, a double amputee, fired four bullets from a pistol into a bathroom where Steenkamp was seated, resulting in her death.

Pistorius believed he was startled by a noise and thought Steenkamp was an intruder. The neighbors reported hearing shouting coming from the house before the gunshots. The prosecution maintained that Steenkamp was seeking refuge in the bathroom when Pistorius fired.

This week, Women for Change tweeted that Oscar Pistorius is a murderer who should be behind bars serving his full sentence, as justice was never served and he never took account for his actions.

A self-confessed hit man who is reportedly friends with the Steenkamps appeared in court and stared intently at Pistorius, but did not speak in the courtroom and refused to speak to this reporter outside.

Pistorius will be driven straight from prison to his uncle's house upon release.

Singabakho Nxumalo from the Department of Correctional Services stated that the details of Pistorius' transportation plans and time of release will not be made public, as disclosing such information may pose a security threat to the inmate and other stakeholders involved.

As a result of South Africa's victim-centered criminal justice system, inmates and parolees are never paraded. This means that media cannot be prevented from carrying out their work outside correctional facilities, but they will not be able to obtain shots or moving visuals of Pistorius.

Pistorius' parole terms prohibit him from profiting from Steenkamp's death, meaning no TV or book deals. Additionally, he is restricted from conducting media interviews and must adhere to general parole conditions, such as being home at specific hours and not consuming alcohol or other prohibited substances.

And then there’s the anger management issue.

In court, a statement from Steenkamp to Pistorius was read, expressing her fear of him at times due to his aggressive behavior.

An anonymous source close to Pistorius' friend revealed that the friend was concerned about Pistorius' temper and whether he should be allowed to possess a licensed firearm in the months leading up to Steenkamp's death.

Despite the lack of clarity regarding resolved anger issues, it is reported that Pistorius' parole conditions include attending anger management training. His parole will continue until at least late 2029.
