Israelis were attacked by antisemitic gangs during the game, and Geert Wilders criticized the police for not making any arrests.
Netanyahu criticized the worst antisemitic attack on Jews in Europe this century on Sunday.
Netanyahu condemned the violent antisemitic attack against Israelis in Amsterdam, stating that "We will never allow the atrocities of history to recur. We will never capitulate to antisemitism or terrorism."
The two recent antisemitic attacks against Israel on Dutch soil, the legal assault at the International Court in The Hague and the violent assault on Israeli citizens in Amsterdam, were both marked by dangerous antisemitism. The goal of these attacks was to render the Jews and their state helpless, to deny Israel the right of self-defense, and to take away the very right to life of its citizens.
"Yesterday, we commemorated Kristallnacht, a vicious and violent attack against Jews solely because of their religion. Regrettably, recent images have resurfaced, reminding us of that fateful night. In Amsterdam, Jewish people and Israeli citizens were targeted and assaulted by antisemitic rioters, simply because of their Jewish identity."
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a warning that attacks against Jews pose a threat not only to Israel but also to the entire world. History has taught us that such attacks always escalate and eventually affect all of society. As a result, Netanyahu called on all responsible governments to take immediate and decisive action to prevent the spread of this danger.
Geert Wilders, the leader of the Party for Freedom, criticized Amsterdam's leaders for not apprehending the perpetrators, adding to his anger against Dutch authorities.
Amsterdam Police confirmed that no one was arrested during the Islamic pogrom on Thursday night. All arrests were made before and during the soccer match.
The left-wing mayor of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema, should resign immediately, as urged by the Dutch politician.
The Associated Press reported that Halsema, a member of the Dutch Green party, described the violence as an "eruption of antisemitism that we had hoped never again to see in Amsterdam."
New information has emerged about the highly organized antisemitic attacks on Jews in a city where Nazi collaborators infamously abandoned the German Jewish adolescent Anne Frank, who was in hiding, to the Nazis during World War Two.
A security guard working at the Holland Casino in Amsterdam admitted to sending messages in a group chat that aimed to harm the Israelis who had taken refuge in the casino.
Holland Casino promptly took measures and informed the employer that the person is no longer welcome at the casino. Holland Casino employees and those hired by the company must prioritize the interests of Holland Casino, guests, and staff. However, this did not occur in this case. Additionally, there is no place within Holland Casino for any form of violence, discrimination, or antisemitism.
An Israeli Druze man and volunteers from the Chabad House in Amsterdam assisted the victims, as reported by TPS-IL.
Rabbi Dovi Pinkovitch, head of the Chabad House in Amsterdam, revealed that there were skirmishes between Israeli fans and local Arabs the night before the game. When news of the confrontation after the game emerged, they initially did not realize the extent of what was happening.
To ensure the safety of Israelis trapped in the streets during clashes, the rabbi enlisted the help of local Jews and Israelis living in Amsterdam. Melchem Assad, an Israeli Druze, provided early warnings about violent attacks by noticing a group of men speaking Arabic about beating those with blue scarves and Hebrew. He returned to the train station and instructed the Israelis to remove Maccabi Tel Aviv symbols, disperse, and refrain from speaking Hebrew.
I knew I had to help the Israelis, even though my heart was beating hard as I approached the group. I have a baby boy at home, but I am an Israeli, and I couldn't let them down.
The Times of Israel reported that King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands conveyed to the Israeli president that "We fell short of the Jewish community of the Netherlands during World War II, and we did so once again last night."
Amsterdam has a population of approximately 920,000 people, with around 20,000 Jews. Prior to the Holocaust, there were 80,000 Jews living in Amsterdam. In the Netherlands, there are a total of 40,000 Jews. The country has roughly one million Muslims, with 90,000 residing in Amsterdam.
According to Wim Kortenoeven, a former Dutch MP in Wilders’ party and a Middle East expert, the Dutch police forces have been Islamized to the point where Muslim cops feel confident to refuse protecting Jewish institutions due to their conscience.
According to a report in the Jerusalem Post in October, two Jewish police officers, Kortenoeven, stated that Jewish targets under threat of terrorist attack may not be protected. This was proven true this weekend when over a thousand extra police were not willing to effectively protect Jewish Israeli football under attack from Muslim mobs.
Kortenoeven, now residing in Israel, stated that "A massive force can only be so ineffective if it is deliberately ineffective. Witnesses and victims testified that the police remained passive in the face of Muslim aggressors. No arrests were made, and the arrests that were made did not involve the Arabs attacking the Jews. Meanwhile, the authorities failed to properly identify the Muslim mobs and hit teams, referring to them as 'guys on scooters.'"
Dutch critics of Islamism noted that Halsema did not mention the Muslim and Moroccan origin of the alleged perpetrators during Friday's news conference. The mayor's office, however, described the suspects as "scooter youths" in a press release, referring to the popular mode of transportation used by young Dutch Arabs.
On Sunday, the Amsterdam police department was contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital for a comment.
